Hey, I wonder if someone could explain to me. The ATI card I see an HDMI slot, but says that HDMI output. I know that some cards have HDMI input, what is the difference between the two?

The reason for the question because I have a 22-inch monitor from HP and has HDMI, I understand that I am a cable from the graphics card on my HP PC monitor can be connected. You can also do DVI to VGA (which is now), but HDMI is obviously better! lol, if you can help me, I appreciate it, thank you.
