I usually make my herbal tinctures with 4 ounces of spirits 1pint degree [usually vodka ... Hic! ] But herbal encyclopedia Bartram says you can only dye with a perfect mixture of alcohol and 25% to 75% water.
Nobody knows, and what follows?
The dyes obtained over time with reduced alcohol content?
I am about to make a new batch and I would try to answer before you try this new method would appreciate it if you can give will help.
